About Plumb Financial

Lisa Ward, MBA, CFP®

FOUNDER

Lisa founded Plumb Financial with a passion for helping clients achieve their life goals through sound financial planning. She believes that financial literacy is key to empowering individuals to make confident, informed decisions about their future.

Before launching Plumb Financial, Lisa spent several years in the financial services industry, gaining valuable experience across multiple facets of financial planning. Recognizing the need for a more personalized approach, she chose to go independent, moving away from the corporate structure to better serve her clients.

As an independent CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Lisa has the freedom to shop the marketplace for the best solutions curated to each client’s unique needs. She looks forward to learning more about your goals and helping you build a Plumb Financial future.

Outside work, Lisa enjoys experimenting with baking projects. Her most recent endeavor is sourdough recipes. On the weekends you can find her in the garden or attending the Maverick Region Porsche Club of America events. She is currently a Maverick PCA and Women Inspiring Philanthropy board member and serves on the National Breast Cancer Foundation Advisory Council. She is a recipient of the Inaugural Class of Arlington’s 40 Under 40 in 2022. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Our commitments to you

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) who acts as a fiduciary has several key commitments to their clients:

    - Prioritize the client's interests above their own and their firm's.
    - Avoid conflicts of interest or fully disclose material conflicts, obtain informed consent, and properly manage them.
    - Act without regard to their own financial interests or those of their firm.
  • Duty of Care: CFP® professionals must act with the care, skill, prudence, and diligence that a prudent professional would exercise, considering the client's goals, risk tolerance, objectives, and financial and personal circumstances.
  • Duty to Follow Client Instructions: CFP® professionals must comply with the client's reasonable and lawful directions.
  • Integrity and Competence: CFP® professionals must perform their duties with integrity, competence, and diligence while offering sound and objective professional judgment.
  • Confidentiality: CFP® professionals must maintain client confidentiality.
  • Ongoing Fiduciary Duty: For ongoing financial advice, CFP® professionals have a continuing fiduciary duty to their clients.
  • Honesty and Transparency: CFP® professionals must provide honest and candid advice that is not subordinated to personal gain or advantages.
These commitments ensure that CFP® professionals who act as fiduciaries maintain high ethical standards and prioritize their clients' best interests in all aspects of their financial advisory services.
